Go Dragons! (Part 3)
Trey made the 4th/5th grade soccer A team! As one of only 1.5 Americans, one of only 3 4th graders and the tiniest player in the whole tournament, he helped his team win 1st place against teams from all over the country. In the 6 games the team played, he allowed only 1 goal against them.
One of Trey's teammates is the son of this guy, Raul. As in Raul one of Spain's greatest soccer players ever. Really. Goals in the world cup, Real Madrid, awesome soccer player. He now plays for a local team. He'd come out to watch his son and they invited him to award the medals. Trey just giggled when he saw him. At one point Raul found Trey and asked, "So, best keeper ever, huh?" I guess he'd heard LOTS of soccer talk around his dinner table like we had!
The groupie...
ASD turns 25
Bailey was part of the joint choir that sang at ASD's 25th year Anniversary hoorah.
In what can only be called the "worst cinematic experience ever", I managed to record the two songs they sang. Focus on the loveliness of the music, not so much on the picture. It could possibly cause nausea. Bailey is inconveniently located on the bottom right side of the choir body behind the timpani players (in the ASD song, that timpani player is Matt Merkley for any Kingwood Stake readers. Bailey spent the evening flirting with him apparently. Awesome. He's in high school.)

Giving Thanks
First, some pre-dinner play...
Then, a fabulous traditional Thanksgiving dinner hosted by our wonderful neighbors, Haifa and Nabil. Yum!
Of course we celebrated at school as well...
Trey's school Thanksgiving craft. I am thankful for a confident child :)

Katara Dhow Festival
100 dhow boats docked in Doha for a local festival to celebrate the history of these boats. They were used by Arab sailors, traders, fishermen, and pearl divers and are now celebrated as the tool that has progressed the region. The venue was Katara Cultural Village. The place is stunning. These Qataris don't mess around. They build some pretty remarkable things.

American Football: Americans v. Brits
Brits were REALLY confused.
So they offered to teach the Americans Rugby.
My boys are now REALLY excited to join the local league.
Somewhere Papa Ririe is smiling.

Go Dragons! (Part 2)
Tyler also made the All-Star team for basketball. It had been a while since he last played but he ended up doing great and having a lot of fun!
