Scan #1

So, I'm going to start numbering them just to see how many we are going to do this year. Robert had his CT scan today. He had one just a few months ago but since that showed an "area of concern", they wanted to do another sooner than later. Today the previous "area of concern" didn't look concerning but they found a new "area of concern" in his lungs. It may turn out to be nothing but this type of cancer does sometimes spread to the lungs. At least that's what they've observed in the 10 people ever to have ever had this type (slight exaggeration on the number, but not by much!). He'll go back in March or April to have a more extensive scan of his lungs.
Peyton's up next on March 25th. We've been very blessed on both fronts thus far. With much faith and prayer, we'll have a spring full of good news.

Birthday Weekend

On Friday the 20th Robert turned 32! Old, I know. Two days later Bailey turned 14, I mean 4. It's the sassiness that gets me confused. So begins the three weeks of having two four year olds in the house (Trey doesn't turn 5 until the middle of next month). Our current favorite game - "Raise your hand if you're 4". It always gets some giggles.

Our 4 Week Old

Our little Jack is now 4 weeks old! He's outgrown his newborness and is a full blown baby. He's super sweet and so much fun. He still has the love and adoration of his siblings and is very well taken care of. A few days ago Jack was having some tummy issues and was crying. Usually that triggers one of the kids to come running making sure a bottle is being made for him. When Peyton came into my room he told me I needed to hurry and get Jack milk. I explained the problem, and with a furrowed brow, Peyton left the room. A few minutes later, Jack stopped crying and Peyton returned. He softly rubbed Jack's head and said he was under the table. "Under the table?" I asked, assuming I'd misunderstood him. "Yep, I was saying a prayer that Jack's tummy would stop hurting." How sweet is he?

Dress Up

Dressing up is a favorite amongst our kids. Trey is his current favorite, Superman. He usually suits up and then asks to go outside and play golf. I'm not sure why the two always go together, but they usually do. Bailey is in the best twirly dress ever. This dress was made by my grandma and was mine when I was little. It is the funnest dress ever.

Sweet Boy

Robert and I found this on our bed one evening. It's chocolate. We must be the best.

Why I Love Our Trampoline

A few years ago, some good friends of ours gave us a trampoline they had, but didn't need. It was sooner than I would have bought one, but we gladly accepted it and set it up. The outcome of putting this enormous thing up has been quite amazing. Not only do my kids LOVE it but they love to play with each other on it. I'm always looking for things that all of my kids like to do together and so far, nothing comes close to the trampoline. Yes, there are those moments when in reenacting an awesome move from Kung Fu Panda someone does get hurt, but so far nothing too bad. They are goofy and giddy every time they all get on it. I love it! Nothing makes me smile like seeing signs my kids really do love each other.

The Reading Team

Tyler and Peyton's school participates in the AR program. It is a really BIG deal and anyone who's anyone makes the reading team. This year the boys did it in personal best times, Tyler earning his second year shirt and Peyton his first year shirt. They were presented with them on Brannen News Network, the school's morning announcements, that's televised and shown in each classroom. What does this mean? A party at the end of the school year, a certificate during the awards ceremony, and getting to wear a super cool shirt.
