Florence, Italy

First off, THIS was the view from our private roof top terrace in Florence. 
 Our first day we settled into our apartment and went out in search of a market.  Our route took us past this, the church of Santa Croce. Buried here are Michelangelo, Rossini, Machiavelli and Galileo.
 Our route conveniently took us past a little neighborhood park which was just the right size for a game of tag.
 A favorite of the kids' was the Galileo museum which had some cool stuff but the highlight was the display of three of Galileo's fingers.  Creepy.
